EMPOWER 2019: Assistive Technology Conference - Assistech, IITD

EMPOWER 2019 follows on the success of EMPOWER 2018 that was held in Oct 2018. It is being organized to bring together all stakeholders in the assistive technology sector. This includes AT researchers, AT industries, users and user organizations, special educators, inclusive designers, entrepreneurs as well as policymakers engaged in different ways with the issues involved in the creation, production and dissemination of assistive technology solutions. This four-day the event would see active participation of all stakeholders not only to discuss current solutions but also to seed ideas to work on future solutions.

The event would consist of keynote talks, reviewed and invited papers, posters, user forums, panel discussions as well as an exhibition. The exhibition would feature a number of latest Assistive Technology (AT) products with an experience zone for users and others to try out these devices. It is an opportunity for AT researchers/experts from all over India to come together on one platform. Like the last conference, it would feature a number of International keynote speakers as well as user sessions on AT tools.The venue is I-TEC Technopark, a large conference and incubation centre of IIT Delhi (accommodation available at the centre) located in the Rajiv Gandhi Education City in Sonipat. SUMMER TRAINING PROGRAM (STP-10), 2019 at IGDTUW,Delhi

CSE Dept.,Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), Kashmere Gate wishes to offer 10^th Summer Training Program on " Integrated approach using IoT, Cloud Computing , Mobile Application Development & AI” (Based upon target software platforms-Android/Linux/Windows & Hardware Platforms,IoT,AI,Cloud computing, Basic Electronics) in collaboration with DIC-MHRD & Microsoft University Relation sponsored projects. This also includes minor projects based on these technologies, implemented on the real environment. Attending this course will help the participants to understand the concepts of Smart device architecture and interfacing with hardware and different sensor & communication module and integrated cloud platform and developed AI application and to build their own product with IoT enabled smart devices at the end of this programme. This program will be 10^th in series and aim to bridge the gap between academics and industry by providing the practical training and research platform with cutting edge technology into the class room in collaboration with Industry to make it India & help to achieve make in India.The program tries to able the students in upcoming smart device technologies in right manner at right time with right technology in the domain of mobile architecture & programming.For more details.

Short Term Course on “Mobile Computing and Application Development”11-15 March, 2019 at IGDTUW,Delhi

STC on “Mobile Computing and Application Development” programs (5days duration11-03-2019 to 15-03-2019) have been successfully completed in collaboration with IGDTUW organized by CSE Dept. NITTTR Chandigarh. STC has been conducted to Hands-on experience of interfacing various Smartphone peripherals, interfacing various communication modules such as GSM, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi etc & mobile application development . All successfully completed participants were given the certificate from NITTTR Chandigarh. The training program was attended by 35 Participants from IGDTUW and other engineering colleges. Click Here

Hands on workshop on raspberry pi (feb-2019) at IGDTUW Delhi

Theme of Hands on workshop of raspberry pi event was “Learn the hands on practical on raspberry pi board & sensor interfacing”. Event was organised by Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women, from 22 Feb, 2019 & 25th Feb,2019 in collaboration with Design & Innovation Center (MHRD), Microsoft project MEK-3. Project Research Showcase, Review & Action Plan Event

Project research showcase, review & action plan is an event especially organised for all the Ph.D. Scholars & Project Staff members, where they showcased their research and project work in front of experts from different institutions and industries. The experts then evaluated the work presented and provide their valuable reviews on progress done till now & also for the future action plan to be, for all the demonstrations. Tech Fest (Build your own smart device ) At IGDTUW Delhi

Theme of TECH FEST event was “Design and Development of Smart Device”. Event was organised by Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women, from 6th October, 2017 to 7th Octoer, 2017 in collaboration with Design & Innovation Center (MHRD), Intel, Microsoft & support of ETI Labs. The purpose of this event was to promote creativity and engineering skills involved , problem solution and viability of the product build by the participants.
